Shipping & Delivery Information

The Kids Cottage Toy Boutique is an Australian based business and offers delivery within Australia only. At the moment we do not offer international shipping. The Kids Cottage Toy Boutique uses Australia Post e-Parcel for our deliveries.

Our postage options

Standard Post

The Kids Cottage Toy Boutique offers a flat rate shipping of $12.95 per order Australia-wide, no matter how big or small your order may be!

Express Post

Express post is also available at a flat rate of $16.95 per 5kg Australia wide. Items which exceed the 5kg will incur extra express post charges, charged at a rate of $16.95 per 5kg. If your parcel exceeds the 5kg limit, and you have chosen the express post option, we will contact you as soon as possible to let you know. If we are unable to contact you and we have not received any communication from you within 24 hours we will automatically change the shipping method to standard delivery. In such cases, The Kids Cottage Toy Boutique will not be liable for late delivery of the parcel as a result.

Please note that the Express Post option does not guarantee overnight delivery. The Kids Cottage Toy Boutique will not be liable for any delays in postage outside of our control. Express postage costs will not be refunded for any delays outside of our control. 

Free shipping for orders over $150

The Kids Cottage Toy Boutique offers free standard shipping on all orders over $150 made in one transaction. Please not that insurance is not provided and can be added upon checkout for $3.95

Postage Insurance

We recommend adding the extra insurance option at $3.95 per delivery to cover lost, damaged or stolen parcels

Delivery Times

Please see Australia Post website for delivery times. The Kids Cottage Toy Boutique is will not be held liable for any delays once the parcel is handed over to Australia Post. Please ensure you allow extra time for your parcel to arrive especially during peak times such as November and December.

Order Tracking

After packing your order you will be provided with a tracking number which will be emailed to you shortly after your parcel has been dispatched. This tracking number may be used to track the delivery status of your parcel. Please visit to track your parcel.

Lost & Damaged Parcels

The Kids Cottage Toy Boutique will not be held responsible or liable for any parcels that are lost in the post, or that are damaged during transit. Postage insurance is available for purchase on our website at a cost of $3.95 for Standard parcels and Express parcels. This option is available at Checkout. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to add postage insurance to their cart if they wish to ensure their parcel against damage or loss.

Click & Collect

You may choose to save on postage and collect your order from our collection point. Simply choose the Click & Collect option as you proceed through the checkout, when placing your order.

Orders will generally be available for collection from the store the next business day. Please contact us if your order is urgent and we will do our best to make sure it is available for your collection as soon as possible.

You will be notified by email or text message when your order is ready for collection.

A copy of your order confirmation will be required to collect your order.

Postage FAQS

All orders require a signature on receipt of your parcel, unless the buyer has given written authority to leave the parcel in a secure location. If written authority to leave is given, The Kids Cottage Toy Boutique will not be held responsible if the parcel is lost, stolen or damaged.

To avoid delays in delivery, please provide a shipping address where someone will be available to sign for the parcel. If your order was shipped with Australia Post and no one is available to sign for the parcel, it will be taken to your nearest Australia Post Office. You will receive a collection card in your mail box informing you of how and where to collect your parcel.

Please note that The Kids Cottage Toy Boutique is not liable for any delays in delivery once the parcel is with the postal service. If a parcel arrives to you late due to any unforeseen delay with the postal service, The Kids Cottage Toy Boutique will not be liable to cover any costs associated with this.

If you select flat rate or express post without the insurance option, The Kids Cottage Toy Boutique will be unable to provide any compensation in the event that your parcel is lost, stolen or damaged in transit. If the plus insurance options is selected and your parcel is lost, stolen or damaged in transit, The Kids Cottage Toy Boutique will assist you with making a claim with Australia Post. Please note that your parcel is insured by Australia Post and not by The Kids Cottage Toy Boutique and all decisions relating to an insurance claim are decided by Australia Post. If for any reason your claim is denied by Australia Post, The Kids Cottage Toy Boutique is not liable to make compensation for any loss or damage incurred.

If you no longer require your order due to late arrival or any other reason other than an item being faulty, you will be required to cover return postage costs of the item and no refund will be given for any shipping costs. Your return will also be subject to our refund policy where only faulty goods may be eligible for a refund of the item cost. We do not refund for late deliveries beyond our control or for change of mine and only a credit note may be supplied as per consumer law.
